ACCRA, May 11 (THE AFRICAN PORTAL) – Police have arrested three suspects in connection with an anti-drug operation carried out in the Eastern Region.
According to the Ghana Police Service, officers from the Regional Counter-Terrorism Unit and the Odumase Police moved in to arrest suspect Solomon Tettey after funds linked to the operation had been received.
Two other suspects, Joshua Nartey and Teye Nartey, were later arrested after reporting to the Regional Police Headquarters.
Investigation ongoing
Police said the suspects, together with all exhibits retrieved during the operation, have been handed over to the Regional Criminal Investigation Department for further investigations and processing.
The Ghana Police Service said it remains committed to upholding integrity and intensifying efforts to dismantle drug trafficking networks operating within the region.
