The visit was announced in a statement issued by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Western Regional Communication Bureau and signed by Regional Communications Officer Richard Kirk-Mensah.

According to the statement, Mahama will break ground for the construction of the Sekondi-Takoradi to Cape Coast dual carriageway, a key component of the NDC’s “Big Push” infrastructure agenda.

“This transformative project is set to enhance trade and travel across the Western and Central Regions,” the statement said.

The former president will also inspect ongoing health projects, including the expansion of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital. His visit, the NDC noted, highlights his commitment to strengthening public healthcare delivery in the region.
