ABUJA, Oct 14 (The African Portal) – The Super Eagles of Nigeria have named their starting line-up for their final 2026 World Cup qualifying match against Benin Republic.

Head coach Erich Chelle has handed Akor Adams his first start following his impressive display off the bench in the 2-1 win over Lesotho.

Captain William Troost-Ekong begins on the bench, with Benjamin Frederick partnering Semi Ajayi in central defence.

Nigeria go into the decisive Group C clash third in the table with 14 points from nine matches — three behind leaders Benin and one adrift of South Africa.

Kick-off is scheduled for 17:00 local time at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, where the Super Eagles will look to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Nigeria starting XI:
Stanley Nwabali (GK); Benjamin Frederick, Zaidu Sanusi, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey; Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi; Samuel Chukwueze, Moses Simon; Akor Adams, Victor Osimhen.
