In a statement signed by Public Affairs Director, Kobina Andoh Amoakwa, the Foundation extended its condolences to Dr Abdallah’s family, friends, and colleagues.

Dr Abdallah is remembered for his role in reshaping Ghana’s educational system in the late 1980s, particularly in the introduction of the Junior Secondary and Senior Secondary School concept, as well as the implementation of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

The Foundation noted that “his commitment to educational reform has had a lasting impact on the lives of countless Ghanaians.”

Beyond education, Dr Abdallah was praised for his humility, honesty, and dedication to public service. According to the Foundation, “his integrity and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his peers and the Ghanaian people.”

The statement concluded: “The J.J. Rawlings Foundation pays tribute to Dr Abdallah’s legacy, which continues to inspire future generations. May his memory be a blessing to us all. May God comfort his family and loved ones during this difficult time.”
