ACCRA, Nov 13 (The African Portal) – Sammy Anim Addo, manager of former Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan, has denied reports that ex-Black Stars midfielder Sulley Muntari has been arrested in Dubai.

The reports, which circulated on social media earlier this week, claimed that Muntari — who previously played for AC Milan and Inter Milan — had been detained in the United Arab Emirates.

In a post on his verified X (formerly Twitter) account on Wednesday, Anim Addo said Muntari was safe and currently residing in Dubai, where he is focused on personal and business activities.

He described the reports as false and urged media outlets that published them to retract the stories and issue an apology, warning that Muntari’s lawyers could take legal action if they fail to do so.

Muntari, 41, retired from professional football in 2023 after a career that included stints in Italy’s Serie A and England’s Premier League.
