CAPE COAST, Dec 15 (The African Portal) – One hundred and eighty graduates of the Niroy Flairs Creative Institute at Agona Swedru have passed out, with a call on them to be professional, innovative and creative in order to secure success.

The Chief Executive Officer of the institute, Dorinda Yankson, said their training had exposed them to a world of new possibilities and dreams, transforming them into professionals ready to shape the future of the beauty industry.

“Wherever you find yourselves, uphold the values of integrity, hard work, professionalism and respect for every client who sits in your chair,” she stated.

“At Niroy Flairs Creative Institute, we recognise that skills form the foundation of opportunity; however, it is purpose, confidence and professionalism that transform those skills into meaningful success.

“The beauty and wellness industry continues to grow rapidly, and skilled, ethical and customer-focused professionals like you are in high demand. Whether you choose to start your own salon, join an established brand, work independently or pursue further training, know that your time here has equipped you with the knowledge and foundation needed to excel,” she added.

The ceremony was held on the theme, “From Skills to Success: Empowering the Next Generation of Beauty Professionals.” The graduates undertook professional training in cosmetology, hair technology and fashion.

They graduated with National Proficiency I and II, as well as National Certificate I and II.

Mrs Yankson urged the graduates to continue learning in order to stay ahead of trends and innovations and remain at the top of their craft.

“Never stop learning. The world is changing every day, and as beauty professionals, you must stay ahead of trends and innovations to remain at the top of your craft,” she stressed.

She said their training and graduation reflected the journey each of them had undertaken, representing countless hours of practice invested, creativity nurtured, discipline strengthened and passion that carried them through their studies.

“Throughout your training, you have learned far more than hairstyling, makeup artistry, nail technology, skincare and beauty therapy. You have learned how to serve clients with excellence, communicate effectively, solve problems, innovate and carry yourselves as true professionals.

“You have discovered that beauty is not just about appearance; it is about transformation. It is about helping someone feel seen, valued and confident. In doing so, you become a meaningful part of their story. As you graduate today, the world ahead of you is filled with opportunity.”

She commended families and facilitators for their support towards achieving the institute’s mission of equipping individuals with practical skills, confidence and opportunities necessary to succeed.

Some of the graduates said the training had helped them build confidence for the field of work.

The District Chief Executive for Agona East, Samuel Oscar Mensah, urged the graduands to explore greater opportunities and train others, while pledging the government’s commitment to the development of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to enhance skills development and increase youth employability.

A representative of the Central Regional Office of the Ghana TVET Service, Wilberforce Kwesi Ogyana, said institutes such as Niroy Flairs continue to demonstrate that TVET is not an alternative pathway, but a strategic driver for economic growth, social transformation and innovation.

He said the institute’s mission aligns with that of the TVET Service in producing a skilled workforce that meets both local and international standards.

He urged the graduates to work hard and pursue higher education, noting that opportunities now exist for them to do so.

The school prefect, Delight Klutse, urged her fellow graduates to apply the knowledge they had acquired to improve their services.

One of the graduates, Sarah Antwiwaa Addo, said the skills acquired would expand her income base and improve her living conditions.
