ACCRA, Dec 4 (The African Portal) – Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has renewed his corruption allegations against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng, insisting he will not back down even after being detained by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) on Wednesday, December 3.

Speaking to JoyNews on his way to the OSP office this morning after his release last night, Mr Kpebu said he is receiving continuous information from citizens to support his claims.

“We’ve hit Kissi Agyebeng very hard… we’re saying he’s corrupt,” he declared.

“Just this morning, I got more citizens coming to give me more information. So let’s give it a bit of time.”

He further challenged the Special Prosecutor to an open process if needed.

According to him, a petition will be submitted to the President, and he is ready for the matter to be heard publicly.

“If he likes, we should do the hearing on a live broadcast. You will see people bring even more information,” he said.

Martin Kpebu described his arrest by the OSP as “entirely unjustified,” claiming it is part of what he called a “suicide mission” being pursued by Mr Agyebeng.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), however, accused private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu of repeatedly disrespecting its security officers, following his release from custody on Wednesday, December 3.

He had visited the office to assist with investigations into the very allegations he had made, but was detained after a confrontation with security personnel at the entrance.

Mr Kpebu is expected to report again to the OSP at 11 a.m. today for further investigations.

The OSP has not yet issued a public response to his latest comments.
