TEL AVIV, Oct 6 (The African Portal) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei says Tehran supports any initiative that “ends the killing in Gaza,” in response to US President Donald Trump’s plan for Gaza.
Baghaei cautions, however, that the plan has dangerous dimensions and risks obstruction from Israel. He adds that any decision on the plan is up to the Palestinians.
The spokesman also says Iran does not plan to resume nuclear talks with European nations that reimposed sanctions anytime soon.
“We have no plans for negotiations at this stage,” Baghaei says, adding that Iran is examining the “consequences and implications” of the restart of sanctions initiated by France, Britain, and Germany.
