The Minister made these remarks during an official visit to the studio, where she toured the premises and commended Joe Mettle for his vision in establishing a multifunctional space aimed at supporting a broad range of artistic and cultural activities.

“I am very impressed with what I have seen here today,” Gomashie said. “This is exactly the kind of innovation and investment we want to see in the Creative Arts Sector. It is not only commendable but also worthy of emulation, and my sector is ready to support such visionary efforts.”

Joe Mettle personally led the Minister and her delegation through the facility, which includes spaces designed for music rehearsals, talk shows, church scene productions for film, and other creative uses.

The studio accommodates between 200 to 300 people and is envisioned as an accessible hub for creatives across disciplines.

“There is still more to come,” Mettle said. “We’re working on additional spaces at the back of the studio that will serve other important functions once completed. This is just the beginning.”

The visit by the Minister reflects the government’s commitment to supporting private-sector initiatives that align with national goals for cultural development and creative industry growth.

The Tourism minister reiterated that the Ministry is focused on building an enabling environment where artists and entrepreneurs can thrive.

Dzifa Gomashie was accompanied by Divine Owusu-Ansah, Director for Culture and Creative Arts, along with staff from the Creative Arts Unit of the Ministry.

The tour offered a firsthand look at the studio’s facilities and reaffirmed government’s support for grassroots innovation in the arts.

The visit concluded with shared optimism about the future of Ghana’s creative landscape and the potential for strategic collaboration between the public and private sectors.
