ACCRA, Sept 16 (The African Portal) – Obeng Ansah, founder of Talent Hour for Persons with Disabilities and head of media for Ghana’s national amputee football team, has been appointed to the Confederation of African Amputee Football’s (CAAF) Media and Marketing Committee.
His three-year term, running from 2025 to 2028, was confirmed on Sept. 15. CAAF said the appointment recognises his work in promoting disability sports in Ghana.
Ansah will serve alongside four others: Mohammed Souabi of Morocco, Albert Mustafa of Sierra Leone, Ngala Maimo Wajiri of Cameroon and Shadrack Andenga of Kenya.
“I will continue to champion disability sports in Ghana and beyond,” Ansah told The African Portal, adding that amputee football had not received enough attention from stakeholders.
CAAF’s Media and Marketing Committee is tasked with boosting visibility and advocacy for amputee football across Africa.
